LAKESIDE STALLS
The markets on Lake Maggiore are an alternative to the shops. Tourists can find everything there: from clothing to local food products, such as cheese and salami, and craftsmanship of the most varied materials, such as wood and ceramics.
Among the best known markets, there are those of Luino and Cannobio, respectively 53km and 58km away from Arona. The Luino market takes place every Wednesday, from 9:00 to 16:00. Outside Palazzo Verbania, local producers set up their stalls. The Cannobio market takes place on Sundays from 8:00 to 14:00.
Arona also has its market, every Tuesday, from 8:00 to 12:30. Another nearby market is that of Stresa, every Friday, from 8:00 to 13:00.
